Bernard Katz is not yet a mainstream published author. He does have two book chapters and several peer reviewed journal articles on innovation, knowledge management and data analytics published in academic literature. He is currently the Director of Product Management at a public healthcare consulting and technology company with clients throughout Africa. His specific focus is on data analytics to support decision making in low resourced health systems. Bernard has a PhD from the University of Stellenbosch in Industrial Engineering focusing on innovation strategy alignment. He lives in Cape Town with his wife and two teenage kids. He has surfed for the last 30-years and today, manages to get into the fridged Atlantic Ocean four or five times a week. Bernard has never entered a surf contest and therefore has never won one. He does have an ambition to surf in an over 50s contest in the not too distant future.
